Denmark
Coach / Cars
Danish bus network is extraordinarily extensive reaching even the most remote corners of the country. Buses in Denmark link smaller towns, where rail and air service are not provided, to population centers where public transportation is readily available. In recent years, long-distance bus routes have been established between Frederickshavn and Esbjerg, both in Jutland, between Copenhagen and Aalborg, Copenhagen and Hanstholm, Copenhagen and Ârhus, Høje Taastrup and Århus, Odense and Nykøbing Falster and several others.
Air
Denmark has several airports situated conveniently near a major town in the area handling domestic and international flights.
Train
DSB has been an independent public corporation since 1999 and is wholly owned by the Danish Ministry of Transport. It carries some 151 million passengers every year (approx. 80 per cent of passenger train services in Denmark) and manages around 270 stations. DSB provides urban, intercity, regional and international passenger rail services within Denmark and across international borders.
Boat
Denmark is a country made up of many islands. The larger islands are now all linked by bridges. There is even a bridge to the neighbouring country, Sweden. But there are still countless little and large ferries chugging from one harbour to another, their journeys taking from 5 minutes to a couple of hours.
